Job summary

Wayne UNC Health Care seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist to plan and implement evaluation and treatment services for patients with hearing, speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders. You will evaluate disorders, provide therapy, maintain records and counsel patients and families.

The role requires licensure eligibility in North Carolina and involves on-site per diem work in the Wayne Health system. Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team is essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited curriculum in Speech and Language Pathology.
• Ability to interpret clinician prescriptions and referrals.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.

Job Summary

Responsible for planning and implementation of Speech-Language Pathology evaluation and treatment services. Evaluates communication disorders and administers therapy treatments for patient problems associated with hearing, speech, language, cognitive and swallowing disorders. Maintains records, monitors progress, and counsels patients and their family members. Participates in multidisciplinary consultations.

Minimum Qualifications

Education

Graduate of an accredited curriculum in Speech and Language Pathology.

Licensure/Certification

N. C. State Licensure or eligible.

Experience

New graduates will be considered.

• Knowledge of contemporary and evidence-based Speech Language Pathology practices and treatment.
