Job summary

Broadcom's Mainframe Software Division is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to lead development of Zowe CLI, Zowe Explorer, and other Zowe client applications. You will contribute to open-source communities and guide software design.

The role requires deep expertise in TypeScript/Node.js, C/C++, and modern web technologies, with a track record of delivering scalable mainframe tools and mentoring peers in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in mainframe software development.
• Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, C/C++ and Node.js-based apps.
• Experience with VS Code extensions and web technologies (HTML/CSS/JS/TS/React).

Responsibilities

• Define technical direction and architecture for Zowe CLI/Explorer.
• Mentor engineers and review code, drive implementation and design discussions.
• Improve performance, scalability, and maintain maintainability of tools.
• Collaborate with product management and UX teams on requirements.
