Job summary

Intuit is seeking a Staff Software Engineer - Fullstack to join the Web and Mobile Developer Experience Platform in St. Louis. You will own substantial hands-on coding, shaping quality and velocity across web and mobile onboarding experiences.

You should be comfortable with legacy codebases, embracing new approaches, and applying a mix of Java, ReactUI and AWS. You’ll collaborate across product, QA, and engineering teams to deliver robust solutions for developers.

Qualifications

• Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Experience with object-oriented languages such as Java/J2EE.
• Strong knowledge of API development standards (REST/GraphQL).
• Experience with mobile IOS/Android platforms.
• Proven experience building highly usable UI applications with React or mobile experience preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in parallel.
• Eagerness to learn and grow.

You must be comfortable looking at and working in legacy codebases and technology. You should embrace utilizing new approaches, ideas, and technology to solve challenging problems. A prime candidate is someone comfortable working in a variety of programming languages such as Java, ReactUI and AWS, etc. You will be deployed in the team to enable Seamless web and mobile developer onboarding to intuit ecosystem.

Qualifications

• An understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Experience with any of the following Object-Oriented Languages (OOD): Java/J2EE.
• Strong working knowledge of API development standards like REST/GraphQL protocol, pagination, throttling, caching and routing mechanisms.
• Working knowledge of mobile IOS/Android platforms.
• Proven experience building highly usable UI applications with REACT OR mobile experience are strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to balance work on multiple projects in parallel.
• Ability to learn quickly, pivot, visualize and own a feature end-to-end.
• Strong end to end testing mindset, and working knowledge of Front-End and Back-End testing techniques.
• Experience working with three or more of: Cloud platforms development e.g. AWS/ Kubernetes/Container platforms based development
• Experience working with mature codebases
• An understanding of unit testing & Test-Driven Development (TDD)
• "Self-starter" attitude and ability to make decisions independently
• Helpful, can-do attitude and a willingness to take ownership of problems
• Strong desire to learn and grow
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a history of superb delivery against assigned tasks
