Job summary

Intuit is seeking a Staff Software Engineer - Fullstack for Web and Mobile Developer Experience Platform. You will contribute primarily through hands-on coding across Java, ReactUI, and AWS, with a focus on onboarding and developer experience in Intuit’s ecosystem.

You will work in a legacy codebase environment while embracing new approaches and technologies, partnering with product and QA teams to deliver high-quality, end-to-end features across web and mobile platforms.

Qualifications

• Experience with SDLC across full product lifecycle.
• Proficient in Java/J2EE and related UI stacks.
• Strong API design and implementation (REST/GraphQL).
• Experience with mobile platforms (iOS/Android) is a plus.
• Comfort working with legacy code and adopting new tech.
• Familiarity with Agile, SCRUM or XP.
• Ability to own features end-to-end and deliver high-quality code.
• Strong testing mindset including unit/integration tests (TDD).
• Excellent communication and collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• An understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Experience with any of the following Object-Oriented Languages (OOD): Java/J2EE.
• Strong working knowledge of API development standards like REST/GraphQL protocol, pagination, throttling, caching and routing mechanisms.
• Working knowledge of mobile IOS/Android platforms.
• Proven experience building highly usable UI applications with REACT OR mobile experience are strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to balance work on multiple projects in parallel.
• Ability to learn quickly, pivot, visualize and own a feature end-to-end.
• Strong end to end testing mindset, and working knowledge of Front-End and Back-End testing techniques.
• Experience working with three or more of: Cloud platforms development e.g. AWS/ Kubernetes/Container platforms based development
• Experience working with mature codebases
• An understanding of unit testing & Test-Driven Development (TDD)
• "Self-starter" attitude and ability to make decisions independently
• Helpful, can-do attitude and a willingness to take ownership of problems
• Strong desire to learn and grow
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a history of superb delivery against assigned tasks
