Job summary

General Motors is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for the ValidationFoundations and Acceleration team within the Autonomous Vehicle program. You will lead development of behavior validation products such as the Behavior Validation Scorecard, balancing product needs with engineering and safety requirements.

You will build partnerships with Embodied AI, safety, and product teams, use Pareto analysis to prioritize dashboards, and drive roadmaps and success metrics.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.
• 6+ years of experience in systems engineering, software product development, or technical program management.
• Strong ability to bridge technical and product domains, translating stakeholder needs into actionable solutions.
• Proficiency in Python for prototyping and data analysis.
• Experience with developing internal customer-facing front end dashboards.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to work across diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with partner teams (EAI, safety, product) to align priorities and requirements.
• Use Pareto analysis and other prioritization techniques to identify and implement improvements for validation dashboards products.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define roadmaps and success metrics for behavior validation tools.
• Lead and implement technical improvements using Python and related technologies to accelerate feature development.
• Ensure that validation products are scalable, reliable, and aligned with AV launch and release decision processes.
