Job summary

Coinbase is hiring a Staff Software Engineer for the Developer Infrastructure - Test team. You will define the technical strategy for test infrastructure across Coinbase engineering, building services for test orchestration, flaky-test detection, and test result analysis to speed up delivery.

You will own end-to-end systems, drive improvements in test feedback speed, and mentor engineers to raise technical standards while collaborating with multiple teams to remove bottlenecks.

Qualifications

• 10+ years building and operating production software with distributed systems fundamentals.
• Proficiency in Go or a similar language.
• Deep experience in test infrastructure and scalable test signals.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the technical strategy for test infrastructure across Coinbase engineering.
• Build and operate core test infrastructure services (orchestration, flaky-test detection, test selection).
• Drive improvements in test feedback speed and signal reliability.
• Own systems end to end, including architecture, observability, SLOs, and on-call operations.
• Partner with engineering teams to identify bottlenecks and platform improvements.
• Mentor engineers and raise technical standards across the org.
