Job summary

Charta Health is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to shape scalable software solutions across revenue cycle, clinical operations, and administrative workflows. You will influence architecture, mentor teammates, and deliver production-ready code aligned with the product roadmap.

You should bring at least 7 years of software development experience, strong backend skills (Python/Node.js/Java/C/C++), and hands-on microservices, cloud, and AI familiarity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• At least 7 years of professional experience in software development shipping production code.
• Fluent in backend languages such as Python, Node.js, Java or C/C++; Next.js/React is a plus.
• Experience building, testing and deploying microservices.
• Interest or experience with generative AI technologies and large language models is a plus.
• Distributed systems development experience; performance optimization is a plus.
• Experience with AWS, PostgreSQL, Docker and ECS/Kubernetes is a plus.
• Strong communication skills across engineering, product and other teams.
