Charta Health, Inc. is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to deliver scalable software solutions for our AI-powered healthcare platform. You will influence project priorities and roadmap alignment while building customer-centric features and reliable systems.

Join a multidisciplinary team delivering production-grade code, thorough documentation, and robust deployments. The role emphasizes microservices, distributed systems, and collaboration across engineering, product, and operations.

Qualifications

• At least 7 years of professional software development experience shipping production code.
• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• Fluent in backend languages: Python, Node.js, Java, or C/C++. Next.js/React a plus.
• Experience building, testing and deploying microservices.
• Interest in generative AI technologies and large language models is a plus.
• Distributed systems development experience; performance optimization is a plus.
• Experience with AWS, PostgreSQL, Docker and ECS/Kubernetes is a plus.
• Strong cross-team communication across engineering, product, and other functions.
