Job Description

As part of the global Operations & Technology organization, the Data & Analytics group (D&A) focuses on future data strategies, covering the entire analytics lifecycle – data engineering, architecture, platforms, analysis, visualization, and data science. We support NBCU’s diverse portfolio of brands and properties. We pride ourselves on providing data to inform strategic business decisions. As a Staff Software Engineer, you will design and deliver complex cloud-based solutions using technologies such as Salesforce.com and AWS.

  • Engineer, design, implement, and test Salesforce solutions, including specifications, design, coding, and agile principles.
  • Create dynamic HTML, CSS, and internal Javascript MVC frameworks (Lightning, similar to Angular, React).
  • Promote best practices and guide the team on leveraging them.
  • Lead a team of approximately 10 CRM Engineers, both onsite and offshore.
  • Ensure system meets business expectations, with proper testing, performance, and security monitoring.
  • Collaborate with Architects, Product Management, and Technical teams to understand needs and design considerations.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and mitigation strategies to ensure timely delivery.
  • Work with Architects and Engineering peers to integrate SFDC within a broader ecosystem.
Qualifications
  • 8+ years of experience with end-to-end SFDC platform implementations, especially Sales Cloud.
  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to contribute to design discussions and communicate with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience with Apex/VF, Lightning Web Components, Aura, JavaScript, jQuery/Angular/React.
  • API integration experience (SOAP, REST) and middleware tools like Kafka, Informatica, Tibco.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce integration patterns and SOQL.
  • Experience with Test-Driven Development, UI debugging, Release Management, Source Control, CI/CD tools like Github, Jenkins.
  • Understanding of security options such as SSO and data security.
Desired Characteristics
  • Experience with AWS, Data Engineering, Data Modeling.
  • Experience with Business Intelligence tools like TableauCRM, Datorama, MicroStrategy, Data Cloud.
  • Background in Advertising Sales, Media, and Entertainment.
  • Salesforce Certifications such as Advanced Administrator, Application Architect, System Architect, JavaScript Developer I, Platform Developer II, or equivalent.
Additional Requirements
  • Fully Remote position, contributing from a non-NBCUniversal worksite.

This role offers company-sponsored benefits, including health insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and other perks. Salary range: $130,000 - $170,000 (bonus eligible). Applications are accepted continuously.
