Job summary

SoFi is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join the Risk Engineering team. You will design, build, and maintain full stack applications that integrate data from Snowflake, AI infrastructure, dashboards, and business logic into scalable products for internal users.

You will mentor other engineers, translate business needs into durable architectural designs, and lead critical engineering initiatives across the stack with a focus on reliability, observability, security, and impactful delivery.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong backend API design, service architecture, and data modeling.
• Capable frontend engineering for dashboards and workflow tools.
• Deep experience with cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, observability, and reliability.
• Hands-on Snowflake or similar cloud data warehouse experience.
• Experience building data-driven apps and visualization dashboards for business users.
• Familiarity with AI infrastructure and AI-enabled workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain full stack internal applications for risk, compliance, and business workflows.
• Develop scalable backend services, APIs, and data integrations with Snowflake and other data platforms.
• Create intuitive frontend experiences and dashboards to help users interpret data and perform tasks.
• Integrate AI capabilities into internal apps to boost productivity and decision support.
• Collaborate with risk, data, security, and product teams to deliver features.
