Job summary

Bluesight, a high-growth healthcare information technology company, seeks a Staff Software Engineer for the ControlCheck team. You will help define technical direction across front-end, back-end, and infrastructure, and influence critical architectural decisions as we scale our data products for hospital and pharmacy operations.

You will mentor senior engineers, collaborate with Product, QA, and other teams, and drive multi-month cross-domain initiatives.

Qualifications

• 9+ years of professional software engineering experience across the full stack.
• Track record of contributing to technical direction for a team and driving multi-month initiatives.
• Strong understanding of relational databases and MySQL.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and owning production services end-to-end.
• Ability to influence architectural decisions across multiple teams.

Responsibilities

• Set technical direction for the ControlCheck team across front-end, back-end, and infrastructure.
• Contribute to architectural decisions for services built on Ruby on Rails and Python FastAPI; deploy via Terraform.
• Lead critical cross-team initiatives and mentor senior engineers.
• Communicate tradeoffs clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
