Job summary

Pear Suite is hiring an experienced full-stack engineer to shape architecture and technical direction for our care navigation platform. Roles span Senior Software Engineer and Staff Software Engineer with leveling determined in interview. You’ll design scalable front-end (React/TypeScript), back-end (GraphQL), and cloud (GCP) systems and mentor teammates.

Qualifications

5+ years of professional software engineering experience in full-stack roles.
Deep expertise in React, GraphQL, and TypeScript.
Proven experience designing and maintaining cloud architectures on GCP.
Strong architecture and system-design judgment with production impact.
Ability to balance hands-on development with strategic design.
Excellent written and verbal communication with non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Design and architect scalable full-stack software across frontend, backend and cloud.
Lead technical initiatives from proposal through delivery with hands-on work.
Set technical standards to improve quality, performance and maintainability.
Document decisions clearly for engineering and stakeholders.
Test code and systems thoroughly and promote best practices.
Mentor engineers, formally or informally.
Collaborate with Product and Engineering on priorities and trade-offs.
Staff level: own architecture for a major system across the org.
Lead multi-engineer initiatives with minimal oversight.
