Job summary

Waymo is seeking an experienced engineer to join the Planner/Perception Reliability team. This role involves driving the design of reliable systems and tools to prevent and debug issues across various platforms. Candidates should have a background in Computer Science or related fields and significant experience in C++ and GPU systems.

The expected salary range for this full-time position is between $251,000 and $310,000 USD. Candidates are encouraged to discuss specific salary details during the hiring process.

Qualifications

• Experience in writing GPU kernels and evaluating/debugging GPU workloads.
• Experience with autonomous vehicles (L4) or ADAS systems (L2/L3) is preferred.
• Experience in software reliability space is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Drive design and development of instrumentation to prevent and debug reliability issues.
• Architect frameworks to proactively identify and eliminate software faults.
• Lead initiatives to prevent issues from compilers and optimization changes.
