Lockheed Martin is seeking a Software Engineer for the Rotary Training Solutions Blackhawk simulator in Orlando, FL. You will design, implement, and test real-time C/C++ software for high-fidelity training devices, collaborating with cross-functional teams across hardware, graphics, and simulation domains.

You’ll work within TLS Integrated Engineering to advance sustainment and training solutions, travel up to 30%, and support government security clearance requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline with 5+ years of experience
• Experience with C/C++ for real time or safety critical systems
• Proficiency with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Perl
• Git/GitLab for source control, CI/CD, and automated tests
• Ability to produce detailed specifications and test docs
• US citizenship due to clearance requirement
• Familiarity with CI/CD and version control practices

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate software development activities for real-time/system-critical apps
• Design, document, test, and debug C/C++ components for safety-critical systems
• Translate requirements into detailed software specs and design docs
• Develop and execute unit/integration tests and document results
• Conform to standards and lifecycle processes across SDLC
• Travel domestically up to 30% as needed
• Ensure software deliverables meet quality and compliance standards
• Maintain and develop simulation software related to flight training
