Job summary

Lockheed Martin Space – NSS seeks a Software Engineer Staff to lead a team in the design, development, test and maintenance of software systems on cloud platforms. The role includes acting as Product Owner on the Mission Compliance System (MCS) task order and coordinating software development activities.

Responsibilities include driving technical excellence, mentoring developers, participating in reviews, documenting work, and collaborating with customers and stakeholders to roadmaps.

Qualifications

• This role requires software development experience in Python, Java, or TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Experience in Agile teams (SAFe, Scrum, Kanban or similar).
• Active TS clearance; willingness to obtain TS/SCI w/ poly.

Responsibilities

• Plan, conduct, and coordinate software development activities.
• Design, develop, document, test, and debug enterprise software on cloud platforms.
• Apply standards and tools across the development lifecycle.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and demonstrations.
• Prepare documentation and analyze system capabilities.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance on architecture and deployment.
• Coordinate with team leadership on priorities, schedules, risks.
• Engage with customers and stakeholders to build roadmaps.
