Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Sr. Staff Engineer Software to lead the Full Stack Software Discipline in the NGAS CoTE. You will guide strategic priorities, align with EI&E, and drive tools, processes, and training across programs to improve performance and interoperability.

As a senior leader, you will champion secure, scalable full‑stack solutions, collaborate with cross‑disciplinary teams, and push innovative practices across DoD‑aligned initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline with 14+ years of software engineering experience, or Master’s with 12+ years, or PhD with 9+ years.
• Expertise in HTML/CSS/JavaScript/React or TypeScript for front-end; Python/Java/Node.js for backend; REST/GraphQL/gRPC API design.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and containerization; CI/CD pipelines; security considerations.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and define strategic vision for software discipline priorities.
• Interface with EI&E discipline leads to identify program needs and close engineering gaps.
• Lead development, deployment, and sustainment of engineering tools and digital solutions.
• Build a strong Software Community of Practice across programs.
