Job summary

Synopsys Inc is seeking a senior software engineer to design and evolve core application platforms, partnering with IT and business stakeholders to deliver robust, scalable services. You will build containerized systems on Kubernetes, automate deployments, and implement strong observability and security practices.

The role emphasizes HA/DR planning, AI-assisted workflows, and continuous improvement in a high-trust, collaboration-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong programming in Python, JavaScript, and scripting (Shell/PowerShell).
• Experience designing and operating reliable, scalable, secure service architectures.
• Proficient in Linux environments, networking, and distributed systems troubleshooting.
• Hands-on DevOps with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code concepts and tooling.
• Exposure to machine learning or AI to improve operational workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design and evolve core business application platforms from concept through production.
• Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to clarify requirements and roadmaps.
• Build, deploy, and operate containerized services on Kubernetes with automation and safe rollouts.
• Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines and enforce security standards.
• Implement observability with metrics, logs, and tracing for proactive monitoring.
• Develop AI-assisted operational workflows to reduce manual intervention.
• Define HA and disaster recovery strategies through testing and documentation.
