Aurora is hiring a Staff Software Engineer and Machine Learning expert to join the Perception Tracker Team. You will tackle end-to-end perception challenges, advance state-of-the-art models, and help scale perception systems across routes in the United States.

The role emphasizes collaboration, production-grade software, and real-time deployment on the Aurora Driver platform, with a strong focus on safety and efficiency in autonomous driving.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or related field (or Bachelor with 2+ years of industry experience).
• Proficient coding in C++ and Python with production quality mindset.
• Working knowledge in ML areas: deep learning, CV, state estimation, optimization.

Responsibilities

• Tackle end-to-end perception challenges, including tracking dynamic actors and semantic understanding.
• Research and develop state-of-the-art ML models to enhance perception in real-world driving scenarios.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to iterate on the Perception system from testing to production.
• Drive the software lifecycle from prototype to production for large-scale data analysis on the Aurora Driver platform.
• Contribute to architectural strategy to ensure scalable and efficient perception systems.
