Job summary

Aurora hires a Staff Software Engineer for the Perception Tracker Team to advance perception performance across U.S. routes. You will tackle perception challenges, build deep learning models, and deploy robust software on the Aurora Driver platform.

Ideal candidates have strong C++/Python skills, ML knowledge, and experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow, plus CUDA/GPU programming. You will collaborate across teams to scale solutions in a hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or related field, or Bachelor with 2+ years of software engineering experience.
• Proficient in C++ and Python with production-quality code.
• Working knowledge in ML areas: deep learning, computer vision, and related methods.
• Experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow or similar frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Tackle end-to-end perception challenges, including tracking dynamic actors and semantic understanding.
• Research and develop state-of-the-art deep learning models for perception.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to evolve the Perception system from prototype to production.
• Drive software development lifecycle with large-scale data analysis and deployment on real-time platform.
• Contribute to architectural strategy to keep perception systems scalable and efficient.
• Design and implement state-of-the-art object tracking and multi-sensor fusion algorithms.
