Aurora in Pittsburgh is seeking a Staff Software Engineer and Machine Learning practitioner to advance perception for the Aurora Driver. You will tackle end-to-end perception challenges, from tracking dynamic actors to multi-sensor fusion.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate on‑road insights into robust, production‑quality software and deploy scalable ML solutions on the real-time platform.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or Bachelor with 2+ years of relevant software experience.
• Proficient in C++ and Python with production-quality coding skills.
• Experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow in ML/deep learning.
• Knowledge of real-time perception systems and CV/ML fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Tackle end-to-end perception challenges including tracking and attributes.
• Research and develop state-of-the-art ML models for real-world driving.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to iterate on perception systems.
• Drive lifecycle from prototype to production with scalable data pipelines.
• Contribute to architectural strategy and robust testing.
