Job summary

Henry Schein One is a global leader redefining dental practice management. This Staff Software Engineer role focuses on two domains—payments and financial workflows—leading architectural direction in a large Windows desktop app stack (C#, C++/MFC).

The position is remote in the United States with up to 10% travel and requires authorization to work in the U.S. You will drive design for posting, reconciliation, billing, online payments, and claims processing, while modernizing legacy modules

Qualifications

• 8+ years building Windows desktop and backend enterprise apps in C#/C++.
• Experience leading staff-level architecture and cross-team initiatives.
• Strong understanding of MVVM, SOLID, and layered architectures with DI.
• Background in transactional/financial systems with auditable data.

Responsibilities

• Own correctness of money movement: posting, reconciliation, billing, statements, and auditable transactions.
• Design and reliability of payment integrations with card-present and online payments.
• Drive real-time electronic claims over a national healthcare network and ensure reliability.
• Turn regulatory changes into correct, well-tested behavior with product and compliance.
• Modernize legacy C++ modules toward managed C# architecture to reduce risk.
• Improve performance and reliability with telemetry and early regression detection.
• Set testing strategy with TDD and DI to keep business logic testable.
• Maintain architectural guardrails and clean domain boundaries across components.
• Lead production troubleshooting for financial and integration incidents.
• Build cross-team roadmaps spanning 6–12 months and mentor engineers.
