Qualifications

• 7+ years delivering enterprise-class applications with backend focus.
• 5+ years designing complex distributed systems at scale.
• BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proficiency in TypeScript and/or Scala; strong API design experience.
• Deep experience designing and consuming web APIs, including GraphQL.

Responsibilities

• Own critical banking systems end-to-end.
• Architect for scale, correctness, and trust across the stack.
• Stay hands-on; write high-quality production code 60–70% of time.
• Lead the event-driven backbone with Kafka-based patterns.
• Drive AI-native innovation and productionize AI features.
• Act as the technical subject-matter expert and lead design reviews.
• Lead technical execution from requirements to test planning and risk management.
• Partner with banks, processors, and networks to integrate capabilities.
• Champion engineering quality: testing, CI/CD, observability, security.
• Elevate engineering talent through mentoring and goals.
• Address technical debt and tooling gaps with cross-functional leads.
• Communicate design choices clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
