Job summary

Ping Identity's PingOne Directory team is seeking a seasoned Java engineer to drive delivery across multi-tenant user stores. You will collaborate with product, architecture, UX, and SRE to design features, APIs, and microservices, and lead development from discovery to production with a focus on performance, security, and reliability.

The role involves mentoring engineers, contributing to agile process improvements, and participating in on-call rotations for a SaaS/on-prem product.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on development experience delivering major features for products with complex user workflows.
• Product-minded engineering balancing technical constraints, scope, customer needs, and business goals.
• Experience using AI-assisted workflows across the software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Lead feature development from discovery through production, including technical design, implementation, review, testing, documentation, and operational readiness.
• Collaborate with Product, Architecture, UX, and SRE colleagues to define requirements and design features, components, APIs, and microservices.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews, technical feedback, design discussions, pairing, and knowledge-sharing.
• Contribute to continuous improvement within an agile delivery team.
• Participate in an on-call support rotation for a multi-tenant SaaS product.
