Job summary

Home Depot seeks a Staff Software Engineer to lead a team of engineers in building and designing customer- and associate-facing products. As a core member of the product team, you will help grow junior engineers and contribute to architecture, tooling, security, and production monitoring.

You will participate in product and tool selection, configuration, security, resilience, and performance tuning, while developing reusable code and architectural diagrams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• 3+ years of relevant work experience minimum.
• Experience with search tools such as Elastic Search, Mongo Atlas or Apache Solr.
• Experience fixing security vulnerabilities.
• Experience with Java Spring Boot.
• Experience with cloud platforms (preferably GCP).
• Experience writing SQL queries against relational databases.

Responsibilities

• Develops, tests, deploys, and maintains software with a focus on delivering value.
• Contributes to product and tool selection, configuration, security, resilience and monitoring.
• Builds foundational code elements and documentation for architecture and product design.
• Mentors and grows junior engineers, leading technical discussions and best practices.
