Job summary

The Home Depot is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer in New York. You will independently develop and redesign products, mentor engineers, and contribute to product selection, security, and monitoring.

You’ll work with teams to produce reliable production applications while helping others grow technically and professionally. Responsibilities include designing, testing, deploying, and maintaining software, collaborating in an agile environment, and driving high-velocity delivery.

Qualifications

• Must be eighteen years of age or older.
• Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
• Experience with enterprise data warehousing.
• Experience with ETL (building, extracting, loading).
• Data engineering background.
• Experience with python, SQL.
• GCP experience.
• Experience with java and JavaScript.

Responsibilities

• Develops, tests, deploys, and maintains software with value and rapid production deployment.
• Learns and grows by tackling new problems through formal and informal development channels.
• Plans and aligns in agile processes, ensuring user stories are valuable, developer ready, easy to understand and testable.
• Mentors junior engineers and leads technical discussions to advance the team.
