Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for its Maritime Division to lead the delivery of diverse software integrated into autonomous systems. You will act as technical lead and hands‑on contributor across autonomy, simulation, data processing, payload integration, and off‑board control, shaping end‑to‑end platform evolution.

Ideal candidates have senior leadership experience in tech, strong system design skills, and be eligible for U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Experience in a leadership position within a high performing technology organization.
• Extensive professional experience as a Software Engineer with multiple domains/technologies.
• Strong knowledge of algorithms, data structures, concurrency, testing, infrastructure and system design.
• Experience troubleshooting and analyzing remotely deployed software systems.
• Ability to own an entire software system with stakeholder engagement and lifecycle evolution.
• Capability to mentor senior team members and grow the team.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Own customer success through a multi‑year, multi‑stakeholder software roadmap.
• Rapidly deliver capability beyond current platforms with architectural evolution.
• Interface with external teams for diverse system integrations.
• Lead architecture and design for robotic systems including hardware and compute.
• Contribute to a company‑wide roadmap for software inputs to autonomous systems.
• Lead teams developing software that runs on‑ and off‑platform across technologies.
• Act as SMO for software engineering in a multi‑stakeholder environment.
• Drive development processes and full lifecycle testing.
• Develop test and simulation fixtures with software‑and hardware‑in‑the‑loop.
• Support vehicle manufacturing and deployment.
• Mentor multi‑disciplinary engineers and support career growth.
• Travel to co‑locate with end‑users up to 20% of the time.
