Job summary

AeroVect Technologies Inc. is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to lead localization, mapping, and calibration efforts for autonomous ground operations at major airports.

You will own critical components, guide architecture, and collaborate with perception and platform teams to advance from supervised to driverless operation. You will drive state estimation, sensor fusion, and calibration quality, ensuring robust performance on real hardware and in dynamic environments.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in robotics or autonomous vehicles with localization ownership.
• Strong grounding in multi-sensor fusion and state estimation across LiDAR/IMU/GNSS/cameras.
• Experience with non-linear optimization (Ceres, GTSAM) or filtering (EKF/UKF).

Responsibilities

• Own core areas of the localization stack and drive to production reliability on real hardware.
• Contribute to integration and testing across the localization and mapping pipeline.
• Design online validation for localization integrity and cross-sensor consistency during live missions.
• Develop tooling for diagnostics, health logging, and post-mission analysis.
• Collaborate on regression, validation, and release-gating for localization changes at airports.
• Deploy, test, and iterate using real autonomous operation data.
