Mercury Insurance seeks a Staff Software Engineer to provide technical leadership across multiple agile teams, shaping roadmaps, and mentoring junior engineers. This role emphasizes designing, building, and maintaining complex distributed systems with attention to quality, security, and scalability.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years in software engineering, experience with Java, Python, Spring Boot, microservices, and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).

Competenze

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field (or equivalent).
• 7+ years software engineering experience with modern tech and Mercury stack.
• 3+ years leading multi-team engineering initiatives in distributed systems.

• Write high-quality code for complex scenarios with robust test coverage.
• Translate product requirements into robust designs for modular, scalable systems.
• Lead design and code reviews to ensure best practices and Mercury standards.
