Job summary

Sustainment seeks a Staff Software Engineer to set technical direction and ship fast. You will be a hands-on contributor with Tech Lead responsibility, owning hard architectural decisions, writing production code, and making the team faster and better as we scale.

You will lead architecture for ABP-based applications, ship high-quality full-stack features, mentor engineers, and ensure secure-by-design systems across AWS GovCloud environments.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software engineering with architecture ownership.
• 5+ years building production systems in C# and ASP.NET Core.
• Strong EF Core and PostgreSQL experience including indexing and concurrency.
• Production experience with ABP Framework or equivalent patterns.
• Experience with Angular and TypeScript for end-to-end features.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US government security clearance (US citizenship may be required).
• Experience with AWS, containers, and CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical design for major features and own the architecture of ABP-based applications.
• Ship production full-stack code to a high standard, tackling the hardest problems.
• Own the quality end-to-end of the systems you build.
• Raise engineering standards through code review, design review, and direct mentoring.
• Set the team's .NET standards and enforce them in code reviews and CI.
• Build secure-by-design systems, including for AWS GovCloud and government environments.
• Own reliability, performance, and observability; fix root causes of failures.
• Evaluate tools and frameworks and make informed calls.
• Plan and lead .NET and ABP major-version upgrades across services.
• Translate customer and business needs into clear technical priorities with leadership.
• Document decisions so the team can execute without you present.
