Job summary

ServiceNow is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for the GAIL Core Team to own the hardest engagements, set quality standards, and build scalable infrastructure. This hands-on, customer-facing role develops and enforces reusable patterns across deployments.

You will lead complex go-lives, evolve the playbook, and mentor engineers while partnering with product and engineering to close feedback loops.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software engineering experience in enterprise or customer delivery.
• Strong coding in JavaScript and at least one of Java or Python.
• Experience deploying AI features and GenAI models in real customer environments.
• Familiarity with prompt engineering and tuning non-deterministic outputs.
• Ability to follow and contribute to playbooks and standard processes.
• Mentor and ramp engineers with strong cross-team collaboration.
• Excellent communications across technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead the most complex GAIL engagements including large-scale deployments and go-lives.
• Own and evolve the GAIL playbook with gates and sequences.
• Build and push shared GAIL tooling across engagements.
• Mentor and ramp incoming GAIL engineers through onboarding and coaching.
• Capture patterns and feed into knowledge base for reuse.
• Drive quality standards across the GAIL practice.
• Partner with product and engineering to surface field feedback.
