Job summary

Google LLC is seeking a Share Staff Software Engineer for Infrastructure in Seattle, WA. You will contribute to the AI and Infrastructure teams, building large-scale systems and guiding technical direction across environments and teams.

The role emphasizes leadership, mentorship, and delivering scalable software for Google’s global data-center and compute platforms, with a focus on reliability, efficiency, and velocity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience programming in C++.
• 5 years of experience testing, and launching software products.
• 5 years of experience building and developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage, or hardware architecture.
• 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.

Responsibilities

• Lead talented junior engineers to drive policy, propose technical designs, write software, identify and address software defects, and measure success of the system.
• Work closely with business teams to develop and drive policy changes in tandem with the technical roadmap. Align with partner and cross-functional teams on dependencies and joint commitments.
• Drive the software development process including coding, review, design and architecture discussion. Communicate technical impact to the broader ecosystem.
