Job summary

CyberCoders in Jersey City, NJ, is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to own architecture across AI/healthcare production platforms. You will work hands-on across frontend, backend, APIs, and cloud infrastructure with React, Python, and FastAPI.

You will mentor engineers, drive technical direction, and partner with product, ML, data, and infra teams while delivering scalable, high-performance software in a hybrid onsite role.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience building and shipping production software.
• Strong full-stack engineering background.
• Technical ownership of at least one significant production system.
• Strong Python experience, including FastAPI and Pydantic.
• 3+ years of experience building production applications with React.
• Experience designing and building RESTful APIs.
• Experience integrating with third-party systems and APIs.
• Experience working directly with external customers or stakeholders.
• Production experience with AWS.
• Experience with containerized deployments.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Strong automated testing experience, including PyTest.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• Ability to work onsite in Jersey City, NJ at least 3 days per week.

We're working with a fast-growing technology company in the AI and healthcare space that's looking to add a Staff Software Engineer to its growing engineering team.

This is a hands-on, full-stack role with significant technical ownership across a production platform supporting mission-critical applications and AI-driven workflows. You'll work across frontend applications, backend services, APIs, integrations, and cloud infrastructure while helping shape technical direction as the platform continues to scale.

This is a strong opportunity for an experienced engineer who enjoys staying hands-on while taking ownership of architecture, complex technical decisions, and mentorship.

What You'll Do

• Design, build, and scale production applications using React, Python, and FastAPI

Compensation & Benefits

$180,000-$240,000 base salary + equity
