Job summary

Distribusion Technologies, Berlin-based, is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join the Search team. You will drive the strategic architectural transition of our core Search Engine from Elixir to Go and design high-throughput microservices and infrastructure.

You will own the technical backlog, align work with business goals, mentor teammates, and lead agile processes while documenting decisions. Fluent English and 7+ years of experience are required to help scale our global platform.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience.
• 3+ years with Golang.
• Knowledge of Ruby or Python to navigate legacy ecosystem.
• Deep architectural mastery of high-throughput distributed systems, microservices, Elasticsearch, Kubernetes, and GCP.
• Excellent cross-functional leadership and ability to translate technical decisions into business metrics.

Responsibilities

• Drive the strategic architectural transition of our core Search Engine from Elixir to Go as the pioneer Go engineer.
• Design foundational infrastructure for high-throughput microservices to ensure smooth interoperability between the new Go architecture and legacy systems.
• Own the technical backlog and success metrics while coordinating cross-functional work to align with long-term business objectives.
• Resolve bottlenecks and guide teams to build solutions that maximize business value and migration decisions.
• Lead company-wide technology adoption and agile engineering processes with thorough documentation.
• Upskill peers in Go best practices and mentor junior engineers.
