Rippling is hiring for a Payroll Run Management leadership role. You will shape the next generation of our global payroll calculation engine, delivering scalable, multi-country solutions that automate complex tax, benefits, and compliance rules.

You will own end-to-end delivery, mentor engineers, and collaborate with Product, HRIS, and fellow engineers to build resilient, extensible backend systems that power payroll for 70+ countries.

Competenze

• Eight-plus years of professional software engineering experience with leadership impact.
• Expertise in large-scale distributed backend systems using Python and Django.
• Experience turning complex requirements into launches and owning project lifecycle.
• Strong data modeling, system architecture, and clean abstractions.
• Customer-focused mindset with clear written and verbal communication.
• Experience with NoSQL databases is a plus.

Mansioni

• Lead architecture for a global payroll calculation engine across countries.
• Own end-to-end delivery of high-impact features from design to deployment.
• Drive the Calculations team's roadmap, improve performance and reliability.
• Turn ambiguous tax models into concrete plans for the team.
