Rippling in San Francisco is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to lead the Device Management platform. You’ll own end-to-end lifecycle management of hardware—from procurement to buyback—and drive AI-first automation across global logistics.

You’ll architect global expansion, integrate with dozens of suppliers, and maintain data integrity with secure device provisioning, encryption, and compliance. While focused on backend, you’ll deliver intuitive admin interfaces for managing the fleet.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Staff or Principal Engineer.
• Backend with Python/Django; frontend with React knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Drive AI-first automation to reduce manual overhead in device provisioning and inventory management.
• Architect the global expansion to 130 countries by designing integrations with multiple suppliers and logistics providers.
• Own complex integrations and ensure data integrity across warehouses with a single source of truth.
• Own full-stack delivery including admin interfaces for global fleet tracking.
• Bridge physical devices with digital security through provisioning, encryption, and compliance tooling.
