Job summary

Discord is seeking a Staff Engineer for the Consumer Revenue org to drive premium experiences and core identity, spanning Nitro, Shop, Server Boosting, and User Identity. You’ll own end-to-end initiatives across web, mobile, and backend systems, collaborating with product, design, and data science to deliver high-impact features while maintaining the free experience.

Qualifications

8+ years of software engineering experience.
Experience leading large initiatives end-to-end.
Expert in React/React Native with Python backend.
Strong product sense and user empathy.
Technical leadership to translate goals into roadmaps.

Responsibilities

Accelerate growth of existing revenue streams across Nitro, Shop, Boosting, User Identity.
Own complex initiatives end-to-end with Product and Design collaboration.
Drive technical alignment across systems, products, and long-term vision.
Advise leadership on technical considerations and strategic planning.
Lead full-stack work across Web, Android, and iOS.
Prototype new features and learn from experiments in ambiguous spaces.
