Job summary

Discord is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Consumer Revenue squads, building Nitro, shop, boosting, and other premium experiences for millions of subscribers. You’ll contribute across Web, Android, iOS, and backend services to ship high-value features while protecting the free user experience.

Collaborate with Product, Data Science, Design, Marketing, and platform teams to own projects end-to-end, write specs, and ship features from conception to completion.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Expert in React/React Native with Python backend development.
• Strong product sense with user empathy.
• Autonomy and ability to drive projects in ambiguity.
• Focus on performance and scalable solutions.

Responsibilities

• Build and improve premium Discord experiences (Nitro, shop, boosting, identity).
• Own projects end to end with Product, Design, and cross-functional teams.
• Collaborate across Web, Android, iOS, and backend to ship features.
• Lead complex initiatives from conception to completion.
• Prototype new features quickly and validate with data.
