Job summary

SOHO Global Technologies is seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer in Texas to transform rough business ideas into polished internal tools, dashboards, and data-heavy applications in days, not weeks.

You will collaborate with product leaders and stakeholders to design, build, and refine modern UIs, owning design tokens, component libraries, and accessibility across browsers.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of frontend engineering experience.
• Expertise in React and TypeScript.
• Experience building design systems and component libraries.
• Proficient with modern tooling: Vite, Tailwind, TanStack Query.
• Experience building data-heavy dashboards and complex UIs.
• Strong visual and UX sense; able to work without a designer.
• Commitment to accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA) and front-end testing.

Responsibilities

• Develop reusable component libraries and enterprise design systems.
• Define tokens, themes, typography, spacing, and UI standards.
• Build data-heavy interfaces: dashboards, large tables, filters, drill-downs.
• Create reusable grid components with AG Grid or similar.
• Leverage Vite, Tailwind, TanStack Query, and related tooling.
• Implement client-side data fetching, caching, and API integration.
• Collaborate with product and business stakeholders to refine requirements.
• Make independent UI/UX decisions when designs are unavailable.
• Ensure accessibility and cross-browser compatibility.
• Contribute to frontend tests with Playwright, Vitest, or Jest.

Job description

We are looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer with deep expertise in React and TypeScript to build polished, production-quality prototypes and internal applications at high speed.

This role is ideal for someone who can take rough business ideas, incomplete requirements, or early product concepts and turn them into high-quality, functional user experiences within days rather than weeks.

You will work closely with product leaders, business stakeholders, and technical teams to design and build modern internal tools, dashboards, and data-intensive applications. The ideal candidate combines strong frontend engineering skills with excellent visual judgment, UX awareness, and the ability to independently make product and design decisions.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain reusable component libraries and enterprise design systems.
• Define and manage design tokens, themes, typography, spacing, and reusable UI standards.
• Build complex, data-heavy user interfaces including:
• Executive and operational dashboards
• Large data tables
• Advanced filtering and search
• Sorting and pagination
• Drill-down views
• Interactive data exploration experiences
• Develop reusable table and grid components using tools such as AG Grid or similar technologies.
• Work with modern frontend tooling including Vite, Tailwind CSS, TanStack Query, and related libraries.
• Implement efficient client-side data fetching, caching, state management, and API integration.
• Collaborate directly with product managers and business stakeholders to refine requirements and improve usability.
• Make independent UI and UX decisions when detailed designs are unavailable.
• Ensure applications meet WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards.
• Build responsive, accessible, and cross-browser-compatible interfaces.
• Develop automated frontend tests using Playwright, Vitest, Jest, or similar testing frameworks.
• Participate in code reviews and establish frontend development best practices

Skills

• 7+ years of frontend engineering.
• React and TypeScript are your daily tools.
• Design systems: component libraries, design tokens and theming you built and own.
• Modern tooling: Vite, Tailwind or design tokens, TanStack Query or similar.
• Data-heavy UIs: dashboards, large tables, filters and drill-downs (AG Grid a plus).
• A strong visual and UX sense.
• You can make it look right without waiting for a designer.
• Accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA) and testing (Playwright, Vitest or Jest).
• Daily use of AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot) to move fast.

Preferred Skills

• A portfolio, live demos or a GitHub link that shows UI work the candidate designed and built.
• Python (FastAPI) and SQL, enough to stand up a quick API for a prototype.
• Databricks or another modern data platform.
• Figma, and motion or interaction design.
