You will act as a design-review authority for reliability, performance, and security while guiding capacity planning and incident-ready designs.

The role requires 8+ years of experience, a track record with multi-team projects, and strong collaboration with product and design teams to deliver

Qualifications

• Approximately 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, including significant senior/staff individual-contributor experience building production product experiences.
• Track record of owning and shipping multi-team projects in modern web stacks.
• Experience working closely with product and design on user-facing features.
• Ability to lead technical decisions in ambiguous domains and explain tradeoffs.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the technical vision and direction for the Foundations group.
• Lead architecture decisions for integration patterns, caching infrastructure, shared services, APIs, and data models.
• Serve as a technical escalation point and conduct design reviews for reliability, performance, and security.
• Drive SLOs, capacity planning, and incident-ready designs.
• Execute high-priority technical projects and own complex, multi-team initiatives end to end.
• Mentor senior and mid-level engineers through design guidance, pairing, and code review.
