Job summary

SingleStore is seeking a Staff Engineer to provide technical leadership for Flow’s end-to-end data path from source systems and CDC through migration engines, APIs, Helios, and the customer experience.

This is a hands-on individual contributor role with broad technical influence, owning major architectural decisions and driving release-defining initiatives that improve reliability and data consistency.

Qualifications

• Significant professional experience building and operating production software (10+ years).
• Expert-level Java experience, including debugging and maintaining enterprise-grade code.
• Strong understanding of databases, transactions, replication, and data consistency.

Responsibilities

• Set technical direction for Flow's migration engines, CDC pipeline, schema evolution, and APIs.
• Lead the design and delivery of large, release-defining projects from problem definition through production rollout.
• Design reliable, scalable distributed systems with a focus on performance, reliability, and maintainability.
