Job Description

Google is seeking a Software Engineer to develop next-generation technologies that impact billions of users worldwide. The role involves working on projects across various domains such as information retrieval, distributed computing, large-scale system design, networking, data storage, security, artificial intelligence, natural language processing, UI design, and mobile technologies.

As a Software Engineer, you will manage project priorities, design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain software solutions, with opportunities to switch teams and projects as the company evolves. You will also provide technical leadership, influence and coach team members, and facilitate alignment across teams.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 8 years of experience in software development
  • 5 years of experience building developer tools that enhance developer velocity, code quality, and health
  • 5 years of experience testing and launching software products
  • 3 years of experience with software design and architecture
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
  • 8 years of experience with data structures and algorithms
  • 3 years of technical leadership experience leading project teams
  • 3 years of experience in complex, cross-functional organizational environments
Additional Information

The role offers a US base salary range of $197,000-$291,000 plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Salary is determined by role, level, location, skills, experience, and education.
