Job summary

Intuit is seeking a senior software architect to own the technical vision for a major capability area, including agent-initiated settlement and edge AI-driven financial agents. You will influence industry dialogue and ensure reliability across distributed systems in production-grade fintech infrastructure.

You will collaborate with domain and compliance stakeholders, drive architectural decisions on Kubernetes-based runtimes, and mentor engineers to navigate ambiguity as the space matures.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience developing software for large-scale business environments; 5+ years designing complex distributed systems.
• Proven ownership of a complex technical domain end-to-end.
• Ability to resolve deep technical and organizational ambiguity.
• Fluency in agent-driven development: architecting for observability and reliable autonomous code navigation and modification.
• Strong cross-functional partnership with domain and compliance stakeholders.
• Deep expertise in frontier fintech infrastructure area - payments/settlement, edge AI, or identity/trust systems.
• Fluency with Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript (React/Node) on Kubernetes-based runtimes.
• BS/MS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical vision for a major capability area - whether that's agent-initiated settlement, edge AI-driven on-device financial agents, or portable verifiable trust - architected to hold up as the underlying standards continue to converge.
• Lead technical design that positions Intuit's engineering work as a credible input to the industry conversation, not just an internal build.
• Anticipate cross-system risk that spans dependencies across the portfolio, where one capability becomes the foundation others are built on.
• Act as the connective tissue between engineering and domain/compliance stakeholders, turning technical proof points into the case for what should scale into a real product.
• Champion strategic investment in a specific frontier technology, shaping how the broader team and Intuit's standing in the industry evolve.
