Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a skilled software engineer to design, develop, and document C++/Python systems that meet complex requirements. You will participate in code reviews, support CI/CD automation, and own automation tooling to improve build reliability and release efficiency.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree with 3–10 years of professional experience and strong proficiency in C++, Python, CMake, MATLAB, and Fortran, plus familiarity with modern C++ and package managers like Conan.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• 3 to 10 years of professional experience; developers with fewer than 3 years may apply if they can demonstrate significant personal projects.
• Proficiency in C++, Python, CMake, MATLAB, and Fortran.
• Functional understanding of modern C++ (C++17/20).
• Familiarity with CI/CD automation, build pipelines, and artifact publishing.
• Experience with Git-based hosting services (e.g., GitLab).

• Creating repeatable workflows and scripts that help teams ship safely and consistently.

• Proficiency in C++, Python, CMake, MATLAB, and Fortran.
• A functional understanding of C++17/20.
• A functional understanding of C++ build systems, specifically modern CMake.
• A functional understanding of package managers (e.g., Conan).
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD automation, including build/test pipelines, packaging, artifact versioning, and publishing to internal/external package registries.
• Familiarity with platform-oriented development practices, including but not limited to:
• Expanding and working with shared tooling.
• Collaborating with platform and infrastructure teams.
• Enabling product teams to deliver independently.
• A deep understanding of revision control systems (e.g., Git) and associated hosting services (e.g., GitLab).
• Must be a U.S. Citizen (dual citizenship not accepted).
