Huntress Labs in the United States is hiring a Staff Software Engineer for the Detection Platform. You will lead modernization of detection engines and pipelines, ensuring reliability under load and contributing to data contracts and validation tooling.

This remote-friendly role emphasizes leadership, security-aware development, and end-to-end ownership of complex systems. You will work primarily in Go, collaborate with SOC-focused teams, and influence cross-cutting architecture while shipping

Qualifications

• Deep experience designing, building, and operating production distributed systems at scale, primarily in Go.
• Re-architected or replaced a live, high-throughput system with proven equivalence and safe cut-over.
• Experience with high-volume event or data pipelines and behavior under load.
• Strong operability: observability, alerting, and recoverable failure handling.
• Demonstrated technical leadership across teams and ships-or-not decisions with quality judgment.
• Hands-on experience with AI coding tools and evaluating their security impact.

Responsibilities

• Lead major workstreams to modernize detection engine and pipelines across multiple components.
• Ensure reliability and behavior under load with latency measurement and proactive alerting.
• Shape event schemas and data contracts, driving validation and drift-detection tooling.
