Job summary

TikTok USDS Joint Venture LLC is building a privacy-first data lifecycle platform to govern data from ingestion to decommissioning across a massive data ecosystem. You will architect, implement, and lead the strategy for privacy-preserving analytics and secure data handling.

You will collaborate with Security, Compliance, Legal, and product teams to scale responsible data practices and enable enterprise-grade privacy controls across the data stack.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience in large-scale distributed systems.
• Experience with Hive, Spark, Kafka, Kubernetes.
• Proven ability to lead complex multi-quarter technical projects and drive architecture decisions.

Responsibilities

• Define architectural blueprint and long-term roadmap for the DLM Platform and PET integration.
• Lead design and scaling of backend services for data retention, archival, and purging across heterogeneous engines.
• Architect self-service onboarding APIs to minimize engineering friction when onboarding new apps into DLM.
