Job summary

Bloom Energy is seeking an experienced security engineer to join our on-site San Jose team. You will lead cloud security efforts, build secure CI/CD pipelines, and enforce IaC governance across our software platforms in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.

Ideal candidates bring hands-on cloud security and DevSecOps experience, with strong Python and scripting skills, plus familiarity with Terraform/Pulumi and software supply chain security. This role reports to the Sr.

Qualifications

• ~5 years in cloud security/DevSecOps.
• Hands-on with AWS/Azure/GCP, CI/CD, containers, IaC.
• Strong Python and shell scripting; Golang a plus.
• Familiarity with software supply chain security.
• Understanding of SDLC practices; Git/Jira/Confluence.

Responsibilities

• Implement cloud security (IAM, network, secrets, runtime protection).
• Build and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines (SAST, DAST, SCA, secrets scanning).
• Secure IaC (Terraform/Pulumi) and automate compliance checks.
• Enforce encryption (in transit / at rest).

We are looking for a to join our team in one of today's most exciting technologies. This role will report to Sr. Director of Software Engineering and based in San Jose, CA. This is a fully on-site, in office role 5 days a week.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement cloud security (IAM, network, secrets, runtime protection)

• Enforce encryption (in transit / at rest)

Requirements

• ~5 years in cloud security / DevSecOps
• Hands-on with AWS/Azure/GCP, CI/CD, containers, IaC
• Strong Python and shell scripting (bash) skills; Golang a plus
• Familiarity with software supply chain security
• Understanding of standard SDLC practices
• Proficiency with Git and familiarity with Jira, Confluence

Salary Ranges: $114,800.00 - $165,200.00
