CVS Health Corporation in the United States is seeking a Staff Software Development Engineer to help design, build, and deliver modern cloud-based applications within a complex distributed system on Google Cloud Platform.

You will mentor engineers, drive architecture decisions, and partner with product and data science teams to translate business needs into scalable, secure solutions that support healthcare navigation and cost estimation.

Qualifications

• 7+ years delivering enterprise-scale software in distributed systems.
• 5+ years in Java, Python, Go, or JavaScript.
• 5+ years designing and operating cloud-based enterprise solutions.
• 5+ years building modern microservices and scalable APIs.
• 3+ years CI/CD, automated testing, and DevOps practices.
• 3+ years Docker and Kubernetes experience.
• Experience with AI/GenAI platforms in software products.

Responsabilités

• Lead design, development, and delivery of scalable software within the Cost Estimation & Navigation AI portfolio.
• Drive architecture across distributed services, APIs, and platform components for scalability, resilience, security, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with product, data science, and engineering teams to translate business priorities into production solutions.
• Provide technical leadership by guiding implementation decisions, managing dependencies, and addressing engineering tradeoffs.
• Design, build, and enhance cloud-native applications, microservices, and APIs using modern service and messaging patterns.
• Define and ensure achievement of non-functional requirements including performance, availability, failover, scalability, and security.
• Evaluate architectures and recommend improvements to reliability and cost efficiency.
• Lead proof-of-concept development and explore AI/GenAI capabilities relevant to portfolio needs.
• Apply knowledge of data and analytics technologies, orchestration, non-relational stores, caching, and large-scale service integration patterns.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to engineering excellence through design reviews and code reviews.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to build alignment across teams and boundaries.
• Ensure solutions comply with regulatory, privacy, and security requirements including PII/PHI.
