Job summary

OpenC3 is seeking a Software Engineer to build and maintain COSMOS, the hardware interface and orchestration platform. You will work alongside a team of full-stack developers to design, test, and deliver features that scale across markets and customers.

The role is largely remote from the Denver/Boulder area, with monthly to quarterly in-person team meetings. A BS in CS/CE and 6+ years of software experience, plus the ability to obtain US government clearance, are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Execute the full software engineering lifecycle from problem description to deployment and maintenance, including open-source work on GitHub.
• Collaborate with customers remotely and in-person to enable COSMOS usage and success.
• Balance multiple concurrent goals through time management and effective communication.
• Provide a critical engineering voice to shape OpenC3's technical roadmap and processes.
• Stay current with industry advances and advocate their adoption at OpenC3.
