Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join the Test Platform team. You will shape the design of our Developer Platform, enabling engineers to build reliable services with AI-driven autonomous testing on a green field project.

Responsibilities include leading testing/automation initiatives, collaborating with product teams, and delivering scalable cloud-native tooling for CI/CD environments. Strong background in distributed systems and API testing is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS or related field.
• 8+ years of software development experience.
• Experience in AWS and container-based cloud environments.
• Proficiency with Java/Kotlin/Python/Go for enterprise systems.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and design principles.
• Expertise in automated testing strategies and testing in production.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for Testing and Reliability initiatives with AI-driven automation.
• Collaborate with product engineering to design robust, developer-friendly platform capabilities.
• Architect and implement scalable testing, load, and performance solutions.
• Deliver cloud-native backend tooling for CI/CD environments and shift-left testing.
• Research and productionize AI/ML tools to boost test coverage and maturity.
• Lead code reviews and promote continuous improvement across the team.
• Champion code quality, test automation, and environment stability.
