Our systems handle millions of transactions per second across high-volume market events, and our reliability is non-negotiable! We are a team of 10+ engineers, with a culture of deep ownership, engineering rigor, and relentless focus on correctness and scale.
We're looking for a Staff Level Engineer to step into a high-visibility leadership role at a pivotal moment for the platform. In this role, you'll define the technical vision, lead modernization initiatives and set the reliability bar across Robinhood's most critical infrastructure. You'll manage a team of 10+ engineers at various levels, own cross-team stakeholder relationships, and drive the engineering excellence that keeps our systems running at scale!
This role is based in our Menlo Park, CA and New York, NY office(s), with hybrid attendance expected 3 days per week.

Base pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. The expected base pay range for this role is based on the location where the work will be performed and is aligned to one of 3 compensation zones. For other locations not listed, compensation can be discussed with your recruiter during the interview process.

$230,000 - $270,000 USD
Zone 2 (Denver, CO; Westlake, TX; Chicago, IL)
$203,000 - $238,000 USD
Zone 3 (Lake Mary, FL; Clearwater, FL; Gainesville, FL)
$180,000 - $211,000 USD
